Reduce the amount of SCREENS and POPUPS
There are far too many screens and popups within ProWorkFlow.
Project Manager/TIme Manager/Task Manager
These are essentially the same pages with varying functionality.. These could easily be merged in to one screen.Adding Tasks
Why have a pop up?Quoting and Invoicing
And Two Screens and pop ups? Should be One Page.83 votesstarted ·

Integrate with a CRM app like JavelinCRM
They already have an integration with Xero, so an integration of PWF + Javelin would be the "holy trinity" for web-based business management.

We’re looking into this currently and may consider building a ‘Sales Manager / CRM’ plugin for ProWorkflow. Just taking ideas at this stage but it looks pretty doable, especially if we can allow importing from Highrise, Salesforce, SugarCRM and JavelinCRM

integrate with Google Calendar
Integrate with Google calendar so that a new task is automatically put into a team members calendar. It may also be handy to embed all the teams calendars

task template - assign roles/skills
When creating a template, allow a role/skill to be assigned to each task. For example, a task would be assigned to "Designer" or "Developer" or "Project Manager". Then, when the template is used in a project, you would assign a person to each role once instead of manually assigning a person to each task.

Create a task via email
We're currently looking into switching over to PWF from Comindwork. What i really love about Comindwork is the ability to create a task (or what they call a 'case') via email. There are a few drawbacks in that you can't set up the start and end time, but being able to capture a task quickly without having to manually enter it online is awesome.

Integrate with the On-Line Version of QuickBooks
Integration with the on-line version of QB will provide to the capability to run a business on the web.

This is currently on hold until the QB interface is out of the beta phase. The dev team has looked into this recently and there are still changes being made which would mean both inconvenience for the end user, as our integration ‘broke’, and continuous development. Once this has moved from beta it will be returned to.

Exchange
Integrating/Syncing your contact records with Exchange or Outlook would be great. We have all of our contact records in Exchange. Duplicating them in ProWorkFlow would add twice the work to maintain.

drag and drop sort the tasks
I woke up last night thinking about being able to drag and drop sort the tasks. Can we do that? It should be a feature that could be turned on or off so people weren't moving things around for the whole team all the time. It would make it easier to add a subtask in the middle and auto renumber if needed.

project status email
Allow the ability to email clients from the system after a status change. Eg 'The current status is <status>. We estimate the project as currently being <% completed>. The estimated delivery date is <delivery date>.

Ability to mark time as non-billable on entry
While you can enter a task as non-billable or billable, sometimes work is done on a billable task that is not going to be billed to the client. (e.g., training, rework, manager involvement, etc.) It is a pain to have to enter another task. It would be so much easier to set time as billable or non-billable on time entry instead.

idnetifying annual leave or days that are not working days
I use PWF to ensure that I'm not over committed on projects but I also work on various days. It would be good if there could be an option to mark non working days for staff and annual leave commitments to be able to plan work better. I've done a work around that uses a separate project for these but its annoyeing to have to mark them complete so that they don't show up as overdue.

We’ve got this one on the list for consideration. There’s a lot to this, sick leave, annual leave, public holidays, and how this affects all planned tasks and projects through about 15 pages in the app. It’s doable but a huge can of worms so will be looked into sometime after the upcoming V8 release.

assign more than company to a contact
We have different departments within the company, so we categorize each as a “Company”. Some of our clients overlap into 2 or 3 depts/companies. I can add them to the ticket by changing their company to what I need it to be then switching it back to their primary dept. But it doesn’t add their name to the messaging section, only the contacts list on the right side of the ticket.

automatic dates on task templates
I would like to vote for this as part of task templates.
For example, if I have a task template that has 5 tasks in it, and I know about how long each tasks typically takes (like this)
- task a - 1 day
- task b - 1 day
- task c - 2 days
- task d - 2 days
- task e - 1 dayThen I know that if I start "task a" today, I should be done with "task e" in 7 days.
If we could put that kind of info in the templates and… more

allow project mix dependent and normal tasks, and shift dates when tasks are completed
* allow dependent and normal tasks within same project
* allow predecessor tasks to be defined out of order
* allow multiple predecessor tasks. examples: Task3 can't be completed until Task1 and Task2 are complete. Task4 can be completed if Task1 is. Task5 can be completed anytime.
* automatically shift start & due dates when dependent tasks are completed ahead of schedule.23 votesunder review ·

Add to events functionality
Ability to add an 'end-time' to events would be useful for calendar planning. Also needs to be more identifiable on the home screen - atm it just shows the events heading, an icon would be nice :)
An 'invite' feature would be great too for clients & staff - maybe tied in with your planned iCal integration (or Outlook). Fully integrated calendar scheduling would be fantastic!!
